Emily Brennan writes the weekly Q & A column for the Travel section of The New York Times, in which she interviews travel experts, writers, chefs and other professionals about their travels. She also writes features for the newspaper and other publications.
In Fall 2012, she reported from Haiti thanks to a fellowship from the International Reporting Project at John Hopkins University. Previously, she was managing editor of the radio series and blog Rethinking Religion at Columbia University. Its public radio special, “The Harlem Renaissance: Music, Religion, and the Politics of Race,” played on WNYC, WBEZ, and other stations nationwide in February 2012.
